Excitement Wanted
Excitement Wanted
The forum has become somewhat boring of late, so I was wondering if any of you chaps (sorry! And girls) had any interesting items to share with us?
Perhaps Tony Lees has obtained yet another historic motor he will be conducting this season, maybe some one is moving up to another class, appearing in a unique car previously unseen since Le Mans 1921!!
Is it possible that one of the regular Challenge competitors will be branching out this season? GT, F1, BTCC ???????
Any rare Series 1 cars been unearthed?
Surely there is a piece of news that will enliven the site, it just needs exposing.
Hopefully,
Bob.

No one saw that coming did they?
You'd think they'd have mentioned it on the news.

Presumably only 'rare' earth Mary, and you don't find much of that now, do you?
I also rather think that Tony's magnets might have attracted some very rare snow, at least to Bedfordshire!
Now how about John Junior? What car does he have, has he passed his ARDS test, will he be out in the Morgan Challenge this season, and, most importantly, does he have his own Barbour jacket yet?
One must assume that there is no hand-me-down available.
Come Dear Lady, fill my waking hours with some Gripping Yarns.
Bobby Boy.

Bobby Boy.
John junior passed his ARDS test a couple of years ago.
4/4 currently undergoing some race preparation.
He has owned his Barbour for many years and it is properly worn in so he is not one of the nouveau waxed jacket wearers.
Jack - what you wear under your outer garments is your own business and best not shared with the world at large! [-X

Well this is not quite what I had in mind when I launched this topic, but it is, at the very least, far from boring!!jack bellinger wrote:Lucky I didnt mention the Mankini !!!
Jack, please do reveal more details of your's/wife's undies, as with the snow keeping us old one's in doors, any excitement is better than none.
Mary,
Leave us men alone we know what we want.
I bought my wife a tablet, and she nearly choked trying to take it.
Love to all,
bob.

Re: Excitement Wanted
Well despite the passage of several weeks since the start of this topic, I am still awaiting news of something -anything exciting!
Let's face it, welcome as the news from the West Country is regarding additional Morgan offspring, this hardly rates as 'pulse racing' (No! No! Jack/Mary this does not refer to a new class of speed event.).
De we really have to hang on until the Pom before we can get to grips with the new season?
Come on, Richard, John, nip out into the garage and count your Morgans again, there just might be one you overlooked! Perhaps that ex Nuvolari Plus 3, the Maestro drove in the 1924 Mille Miglia, a rare one-off Series 1 1/2 abandoned in a sandbank at Le Mans in 1949, even the original Captain Morgan's Brig Malvern Lady.
What about Keith? I can not believe that he has not acquired some exotic model from a remote Shebang in the Amazonian rain forest, or a WW1 Morgan prototype tank, as used by General Haigh to bombard Berlin.
Alright! I agree I'm being silly (just for a change), but there are secrets out there waiting to be discovered. I'll bet the Singleton twins are restoring an interesting barn find they have not told us about, undoubtedly Jim Mountain has some priceless gem he would love to unload on some mug, collector.
How about are friends in exile in various outposts of the Empire? Can we expect a fully restored Austin A35 to take to the circuits any day now? A highly polished, waxed, washed and shampoo'd Plus something or another to take to the tracks in Iberia?
And what about the Editor of the Mag? Hasn't he penned an epic account of the Paris Peking Rally of 1912, featuring Count Morganowski and his Pine chassised Owski special?
Failing information on new models, ventures, discoveries, the least Jack could do is to tell us more about Sally's lingerie collection, and indeed his own risqué undies. I am quite convinced that he has much he could reveal concerning ' night time adventure in Chelsea, wot used to b' Ba'ersee.
Personally I have absolutely nothing of interest to tell you all about - well I will (weather permitting) attending a seminar at the RACMSA on the Media in Motorsport, other than that it is pretty ...............well ...................... Boring!!
Hopefully this will provoke a few replies from injured parties.
Cheers,
Bob.
