Pomeroy 2011

Post by john bevan »

Does anyone know when the regs usually come out for the Pomeroy at Silverstone?
And does anyone know if a 4seater Morgan has done it before?
Doesn't the obscure points system award you more points for storage? :O:
And is anyone else planning to do it next year?

Not sure, keep an eye on www.vscc.co.uk
Someone might
No as long as you can accommodate the VSCC suitcases outwith the passenger compartment - that's a luggage rack to you and me.
You bet I am !

Hi John,

I’m planning to do the Pom in 2011.

Good gracious! The Pom already? We haven't even seen the end of 2010 and we are into 2011.
I fully expect to be there using a Canon 350D which has massive storage capacity, but unfortunately lack of a back axle (for measurement purposes) means little chance of challenging for top honours, so you chaps have nothing to fear.

Just a thought but has the Pom ever been won by a luxury Motor Home?

It would probably stand a good chance as I believe that the mathematical formula for the handicap takes into account the distance between the pedals and the back axle.

The Pomeroy Trophy is a very exciting event. Indeed it is the only event that I have done this year.

But, Kelvin! You didn't finish!

Let's hope that you are out again next year.

Best wishes,

Bob
