Post by Chris Acklam »

So who are the runners and riders this year? Can those involved let us know which teams we should be looking out for?

Team 1 (Garage 0)

We have one late driver change with Philip replacing Sharlie

I have also updated our times with the data from the 2009 MG Silverstone meeting

Just as well, otherwise the team manager would have had to nominate someone to be the token lady (for team Morgan Lady & Gentlemen). Of course, our scottish friends wear skirts ...

When reading the finals I was immediatly concerned that the times listed for our team were a little generous!

However I have now located the pdf from the 2008 race (which I understand are the times used by the other Morgan teams) and other later information from TSL etc

So I have then written to the 750 MC and amended our entry

Our new average team lap time is 1.42(was 1.45),the Morgans for fun is 1.39(although this may change as Phil has withdrawn) and 1.42 for the Guten Morgans with 5 cars

The Morgans for fun time minus Phil is 1.45

Hopefully all the Morgan teams will have a similar handicap

Sorry Chris, I thought everyone would recognise the 'Dad's Army' allusion "

Nazi U-Boat Captain; "Your name too is on the list, What is it?"

Capt. Mainwaring: "Don't tell him Pike!"

What has this got to do with the Birkett? Absolutely nothing, but why should that stop us?

See you all there.

Bob.
