Bob's Photo Web Site

Post by Bob Bull »

Following the Bentley Drivers meeting I have had a couple of requests for copies of pictures on my Morgan web site (picasaweb.google.co.uk/Bob.bull.photos)
Thank you chaps, however, I would point out that all of the pictures can be downloaded free from the site by following the instructions on the right hand side of the album page. YES! FREE!
Naturally any donations will not be turned away, but in the words of that most famous of racing drivers, Pat Pockets. " I don't have my wallet with me at the moment."
Seriously, please do use as many as you wish, as they are there for your benefit and as a thank you for the pleasure I get from watching you.

If published you may credit RBMAPhoto if you like but it is not a requirement.

I am not a pro so don't expect Autosport quality.

Happy downloading,

Bob the Photographer.

They look great Bob - thanks.

I particularly like the pic of Brian on the soapbox - looks like the end of a karaoke session and he's just launched into a slurred version of 'I did it my way'... :-)

PS. To make a clickable link to the gallery in your posts you need to put the http:// in front of the web adddress, eg http://picasaweb.google.co.uk/Bob.bull.photos (as it doesn't have www in the address). In fact it maybe worth adding it to your signature.

Chris,
Trust you to make it complicated, all I want is the easy life. OK. I'll try following your suggestion, whatever it was 8-[ .

Thanks for the compliment there is nothing like a bit of flattery to make my day. :P

I too like the picture of Brian doing 'his thing' on the box, although it looks me like a tap dance session going wrong. Brian had a laugh when he saw it

Others;
I have not had to download pics from the site, why would I?, but I think it is possible to download a whole album, or by clicking on a picture and then you see the instructions for downloading on the right.

Should anyone want to download a lot of pics it might be easier for me to send a CD for a very small nominal charge to cover costs.

Bob.

Great report on the TT Bob - and even better photos! It really is photo-journalism at its best! Although I think there are some less than flattering images of me in the Morgan People section!

My ill-timed mechanical glitch was not fuel related - finished with just over 20 litres left in the tank. Suspect it was probably electrical. Will check/replace usual suspects - rotor arm(again),condensor etc.

Keep up the good work!

Cheers

Mark

Mark,
How kind! I am glad that (most of) my efforts are appreciated, I would point out that for every snap of you looking like a loony there are at least two where you look almost human.

Oh! How can I write such things when you have been so nice to me? Perhaps if any particular pose on the site causes concern I could delete it, why should everyone have a laugh at your expense!

Tracy was very taken with the picture of you and Philip at the Classic, so that must mean something. I suppose I must stop sneaking up on you when you are eating or frowning into the engine bay.

As always it was a pleasure to meet up again and I look forward to seeing you at the HSCC finals.

Hi Bob,

Yes, I am still here but frantically preparing for the 2CV 24 hour race at Snetterton where Jack Bellinger, Barry Sumner, Peter Garland and I will be competing in our car "Wild Thing" this coming weekend.

I hate seeing photos of myself as my grim face will have told you!

It was good to meet up at BDC and I am sorry if I was a bit preoccupied.

Mary,
You and Jack in the same car? What's that, if you can't beat them join them.?

Sorry if the picture is less than flattering, but I have caught you sort of smiling in the garage, anyway the on-track shots do not reveal your grim visage, only your grim determination.

Nice to meet you too, and best of luck at Snetterton.

affectionately yours,

Bob

Dear All,
I hope that this does not sound as if I am fishing for praise - really that is not my intention, however, the picture site does not record the 'hits' or visits, nor how many downloads are made. Apart from the odd word of thanks from the likes of Mark, Chris, Jonathon and Phil I have no idea if anyone looks at the site and makes use of the pictures, so it is possible I am wasting my time. No need for postings or lengthy paeans of praise, just the occasional comment on the site would be encouraging. Even harsh criticism would tell me something.

I hope this does not come across as whingeing.

Thanks,

Bob

Jim,
Thanks for your reply, I see that you are Chesham based, very much Three Counties area! Get that licence and I'll make you famous, well in Chesham at least. I can point to several drivers who have leapt up the ladder of fame since being interviewed by myself. What was the name of that German fellow ..........??????

Go for it!

Jim,
I fully appreciate your reasons for not going for a racing licence, it's why I report on the news instead of making it!!
Not having to pay for entry or a programme is a real bonus to the impecunious enthusiast, if only I could wrangle a few expenses to cover petrol, life would be perfect.
Perhaps that is why some owners are attracted to the 'concours route', although that does not appear to be a cheap option judging by the cost of tyre paint, leather food, bumper black etc.

Maybe you could combine the two things and become the concours reporter for BBC Three Counties Radio!!

Might I say in closing that I mightily flattered that my photos stirred your competitive spirit sufficiently to make you consider getting a licence.

Good fortune,

Bob.

Praise coming up – yes Bob some of us do look at them. Nice if I’ve been to an event, and also nice to see what we missed if didn’t go.

Particularly like the ‘Morgan People’ – lots of famous folk I recognise there.

But who are all the faces talking to you under ‘Bob the Reporter’ ? They’re not Mog drivers.

Thank you Leigh, you are most kind I hope that you found yourself in there somewhere. I will continue to seek out unsuspecting Morgan People to snap and add to the site, so be careful ... be very careful!

With regard to the Bob the Reporter album it was an attempt to stop Morgan Drivers from becoming too bigheaded! I do not want them to believe that they are the only ones favoured with my attention, as you can see I will talk to anyone, regardless of colour, creed or category. It is only included to demonstrate the all embracing nature of BBC Three Counties Radio motor sport coverage, to show that as a station we strive to reach out to all peoples, to bring to the population of Britian a comprehensive and incisive commentary on this most popular of sports.
On the other hand it could just be me showing off - as usual.

Thanks again for you post it is very much appreciated.

Kinder than ever regards,

Robert Francis.
