1953 Plus 4 JNV 654 - history sought

JNV 654 was built in 1953 as a flat rad, badly damaged soon afterwards and rebuilt as a twin spare cowled-in radiator car.

I am trying to find out the history of this Plus 4 during the 1950s and 1960s. I believe that it was owned and rallied by Barry Phipps in the 1950s and that it was part of the Morgan team in the RAC rally one year.

It was owned and raced by John Lindsay from 1968 to 1970 and I know the history from there on.

Does anyone out there have any information or suggestions on where I might look?

Hi Mary, have you checked with Hermen Pol? He is currently at the factory for two weeks, so you can reach him there. He might know something.

Thanks for the advice Jochem and sorry for the delay in responding, I have been away for 3 weeks and have only just returned.

I have been able to get some information from Jake Alderson who is shortly publishing a new book:
