I did manage to do the lunchtime Morgan parade at lunchtime at BDC Silverstone but could only just fit behind the wheel...Maternity Leave
what kind of excuse is that !!!
I kept up my clay pigeon shooting until the day before I got thinner again. Maybe that's why John L jnr likes shooting so much.

Bob (or the Rev I R Drotcart) rolled "Poppy" at a sprint at Colerne (not far from Castle Combe I recall) - hit a haybale which collapsed and turned into a ramp which launched him into the air - very dramatic I recall.
Mr Sumner is also a member of the "roll-em" club - Silverstone as well I recall.

Re: who what where when
I recall someone showing me a photo that apparently they had shown to Peter Garland just before he went up the hill and rolled it. I will elaborate more in person. But there should be a ‘Role of Honour’ or a ‘Roll of Honour’ listing those who rolled their Mog and still drove it home
Mr B from what I heard certainly didn’t drive home after.

To drive home you do need 4 wheels attached.

Rolled it at Wiscombe - not a lot of room on that hill - Interesting
I did not drive it home, just did the next race after fitting new tyres and everyone helping cleaning out the kitty litter

Re: who what where when
The photo is certainly of the 1985 Castle Combe Morgan race. I remember it well was it was my first ever race. It was about the third of fourth Challenge race. I did not know that much about racing car preparation. Wendy and I arrived in the paddock and parked up next to a chap called TMT. This was very fortunate as he lent me his fire extinguisher to get through scrutineering. Tony knew all about this sort of thing as he was an RAC Chief Scrutineer at the time.
The race was certainly a revelation to me. Whilst all the quick guys like Bellinger, Sumner, Bourne, Lindsay and Sebba roared into the distance, I was trying to keep up with The Reverend Drotcart who was chirping around indecently quickly in his Flat Rad Poppy. My race car preparation did involve checking the tyre pressure on my Dunlop SP tyres. As many will know, in subsequent years I have come to take my motor racing much more seriously.
The famous Sapp roll was a year or two later. I think the was at Hammerdown which was pretty fast in the pre chicane days. Still the in field was planted with crops at the time so he had a soft landing and was able to drive home.

Kelvin – do you have a results sheet from that 1985 race as when I looked I couldn’t see Dave Sapp on it, whereas he is down for 1986. Which is why I think it is 1986

Bob, I think you've finally lost it!
Re: who what where when
Mary, if I ever had IT, I mislaid it a long time ago, so long I can;t even remember what IT was in the first place, but I do know that to-date I have never rolled a Morgan or any other marque for that matter.
