Thanks for yet another friendly welcome in the paddock - the home-made Victoria sponge was the highlight of the afternoon
Here is a link to some of the photos from the paddock and the race: http://chrisdickenphotos.weebly.com/msc ... -2016.html
Nice pictures, as always from young Chris, however, I notice that they were all taken during the sunny period, nothing from the bleaker part of the day. The more clean living types were up early.
I concur with regard to the sponge, very tasty, Richard surely is a pretty good cook, and Peter Rafter is a dab hand at 'waiting-on'.
On another matter, I know that many have been puzzled by Compo's stately progress at the back of the field during recent events, I can now reveal the reason for the lack of speed.
It transpires that the poor chap is suffering from some weird ailment that requires him to be constantly. "Scratching an itch."
I did not care to enquire which, particular part of his anatomy is causing this irritation, however, it is clearly at some awkward spot, judging by his distinctly gentle progression around the circuits.
In his position I think I would be seeking medical advice.
Andy Green was there – supervising us all from his tower as Clerk of the Course. Numerous TV screens watching our every move on track – but no screen showing the Morgan paddock
