New Class for Morgan Challenge

Post by Bob Bull »

Following the link between Oak Racing and Morgan Cars, I think we need to look at another class in the Aero Challenge Series .......................

As someone said recently "I can't wait to see Plant and Shears driving these!"

Personally I fully expect to see Keith and John adding one to their collections.

Hi Bob,

Didn't get to Silverstone over the weekend unfortunately as went to CarFest South (at Jody Schecters Laverstoke Farm) instead. Trust the weather was as good at Silverstone as it was near Basingstoke.

There was much of interest to the petrol head with a penchant for good grub! I attended the Silverstone Auctions sale and the 1938 Morgan Series 1 sold for £16000 plus commission despite needing attention to the engine and a lack of UK paperwork.

How did the Oak Racing with Morgan badged cars do?

Cheers

Mark

Mark,
Yes we had good weather on Sunday for the race, although Saturday was 'exciting'. The Morgans finished 6th & 10th in class with fastest LMP2 lap. Both cars had troubles requiring pit stops but finished OK.

Six hours is a long time to be watching 35 cars going round. Photos on the non Morgan picasa site.

It was Phill Sleeman who said "Can't wait to see Mr Shears and Mr Plant ...."

Cheers,

Bob.
