MG Live

Post by Bob Bull »

With this being a two day meeting, I assume that many may be staying at the circut overnight, and possibly have a barbecue evening. I can bring along my gas stove and supply hot soup, and tea and coffee if wanted is it worth it Mark?

I will be there Friday and Sunday so can you have a cuppa waiting my arrival around 9.00 am on Sunday

Would you like me to reserve a space on Friday - 'Bull Catering' ?

Bob--the paddock at MG Live gets rather crowded and we Morgan folk may be parked in many different places, rather than together as normal

Therefore I suggest you mount the stove on your bike and become a mobile catering operator, perhaps Bulls soup & snacks(BSS)

Really! Can't you chaps take anything seriously? Why must you trivialise everything, making a mockery of important issues, and generally taking the mickey.

Take a leaf from my book, and discuss critical matters in a mature and adult manner.

Remember! We are talking about catering here!!!

I shall be there on Saturday Bob, although not racing until Sunday. Phil Tis and I are racing the Plus 4 with Ecurie GTS in their 50 minute 1 or 2 driver race. However with the forecast as it is I shall be returning home on Saturday night to a nice warm bed and a cooked meal!

Cheers

John, What's a sat nav? And I thought kettling was just something the police did with rowdy Morgan drivers!

Mark,
I suspect you have the right idea, but I will miss your immolated sausages.

MGCC seem unsure - is the number of drivers decided nearer the time?
Sorry I shan't be there to find out - VSCC Mallory calls :-)
I hope all goes well for everyone.

Fear not the weekend weather......

I have just finished packing some Antipodean Sun into the suitcase ready for tonights flight. Will be landing at 11:30 Friday morning at LHR, so prepare for 30 Degree temperatures from thereon.

Maybe I will swing by Silverstone on Friday afternoon on my drive "oop north" and avail myself of one of Bobs Beverages. Can anyone oblige with a gate pass?

See y'all at Silverstone, Goodwood FoS and Le Mans Classic 8-)

Cheers

Hi Tim,

As no doubt it will be p***ing down despite your optimism why don't you swing by the office instead and have a nice cup of tea here in the warm in Banbury!

Cheers

Mark- are you proposing an indoor race for 4 cylinder cars?

John - as I sit here in Banbury and look out the window my portent of doom, gloom and rain appears to be correct!

You too are welcome to use the facilities or have a cup of tea any time you are passing through as indeed have many Morganeers cut short or for purely social purposes over the years (we are only yards off J.11 of the M40!) however our industrial unit is just not big enough for indoor 4 cylinder car racing! (even Prodrive round the corner would be pushed!)

See you 'up the road' over the weekend.

Cheers

Mark

Hi Mark,

Thanks for the invitation to tea - unfortunately you must have posted it whilst I was airborne and I have only just managed to get online again. Next time perhaps....

I did make it to Silverstone and caught up with various MOG racer folk (Leigh, Tamsin, Greg P, Lord Rafter etc plus Tony and Mary Oliver) however Bob the Mobile Tea Man was conspicuous by his absence. I had to do with a cup of something wet 'n warm (calling it coffee would leave the vendor liable under trades description act) from one of the catering establishments.

Anyway, I've unpacked the sun, so lets hope it shines on you all tomorrow.

Cheers
