Re: TYRE PRESSURE
I normally set my tyre pressures at about 23 all round. On a cold day I may put them up a little more. These settings are chosen with the intention of getting the tyres up to about 28 once warm. You have to drive hard enough to generate the heat in the tyre. If you are going a little more gently then start with them harder. Once your Roadster has had a bit of exercise on a track day, it will want to come racing!

Hi Martin,
perhaps you could come along to watch the Birkett on the 29th of October at Silverstone where two Morgan teams are competing, then you can talk to some Roadster Lightweight owners who race...............

Morgan Club Sport. The only way to drive to and from races!

Re: TYRE PRESSURE
Hello Martin, Although I'm not racing now I remember all too well the routine before a race. Kelvin is spot on with the pressures, to be used in the rain, too, and perhaps some of the drivers may have had slight changes front over rear according to their driving skills, but I would add that you will need to check the torque on the wheel nuts before venturing out. They should be tightened to 70lb ft, which is 95 Newtons. Although I used Richard Thorne in Reading, any of the Morgan Motorsport dealers would be very helpful.
Good Luck.

on roaster lightweight .....................????????????
A new Morgan Model to me!!!
Did I see it appearing on Master Chef recently? I do hope it appears at the Birkett as it can get quite cold around the circuit.

Glad to see you back, I thought you had gone into hibernation........
Re: TYRE PRESSURE
Now, Mary, you know I only post on this site when I have something insightful and cogent to add on any particular subject. I do not post frivilous or silly items on this forum, my reputation as a serious, philosophical, contributor is well established I believe, and my interjection in this instance is merely to correct errors of the less gifted (sorry Martin). In anycase I fully expect you to be FAR to busy in the shed putting Bulldog back together to be spending time either in the archives or on this site. You may be unaware that the entire Morgan paddock eagerly awaits your return to the circuits, as without you things are not quite the same.
Merry Christmas,
Bob.
