A mostly fine but quite chilly day at Silverstone saw Morgan drivers acquiting themselves well, In race 1 James Patterson ran away from the field to record a comfortable win ahead of Dave Randall's Ginetta with Chris Phillips 5th. after a neat pirouette while in fourth spot.

In the '70's Road Sports Championship round, Paul Conway got the better of a Porsche 928, after the 928 lead initially, finishing about 3 seconds clear at the line.

Mak Hoble was entered in the Guards Trophy, but I had to leave the circuit before the race so we will have to wait to hear his side of the story.
