While attending the Porsche Media day at Silverstone on Wednesday (16th. Mar.) I caught up with work on the extended layout running from Abbey to Irelands (as it was), and I have put the pictures on the usual site under Drop Box. They give a good idea of the changes at Abbey and at the top end where Arena joins the National Circuit.

Some time I will tell you about driving a 911 around the Porsche Performance Centre.

Oh? Jerry!
So what makes you think that I am not the ideal person to coach someone on driving high powered, modern, sports cars?

Maybe YOU should consider utilising my years of experience in handling a succession of REALLY FAST* cars to the benefit of your own driving skills. By seeking a little help with technique from an expert you may find your somewhat prosaic progress around the circuits is considerably enhanced!

Let's face it - if you can't get help from Michael Schumacher - who you gonna call?

Speedy Bob Bull.

Looking forward to racing on the OLD GP Track at the MG International Festival Meeting - Bring it on.

I suppose you could have a "detour" round the new bit, but would not do much for your lap times.

Not had my Knee down in my TR in a good while

Bob.
Funnily enough there is a public service helpline number I and a few MG owners have which helps us enhance our otherwise dismal performances. If you feel your "talents" can take me further and faster please supply a phone no or alternatively my first track this year will be Brands what tips can you offer everyone.
I am afraid since I told Michael to buy his own beer and fags he is a bit huffy with me.

Jerry,
I've heard about those 'Premium Rate Chat Lines' you refer to, but I rather feel that a man of my high moral standing should not be involved in such dubious practices, although I suppose that they are fine for MG drivers.

A few general driving tips may help you and still preserve my unblemished reputation, so;

Always pump-up your tyres before the start. This will not neccesarily make the car faster, but it will make you fitter.

Upon reaching Paddock Bend turn right, unless you have overdone the start and are facing backwards.

Always remember that when you go UP to Druids, you will have to DOWN the other side.

Graham Hill Bend is so named because it is a bend so be prepared to change direction when you get there.

The Bottom Straight - isn't - quite, so do not be fooled.

Surtees was named after a Motor Cycle racer and could cause confusion when cornering.

Clearways often isn't and it can pay to keep your eyes open at that point.

Clark Curve does not refer to an eagle eyed official, and you can give it plenty round there.

The Brabham Straight is named for an Australian, and as we all know they live upside down so beware.

This brings us back to Paddock Hill Bend so be prepared to turn .................

I hope this helps.

Yes, indeed Jerry, many have failed to make the correct right turn at Paddock Hill Bend, and have found themselves stranded in a deep gravel bed, and subject to much ridicule from spectators and fellow drivers, while the marshalls are only to pleased to fill their boots with stones as they drag you out of the car.
Worse is to come if the St. John's mob get their hands on you, as you will rapidly be bundled into an ambulance and suffer all kinds of indignities before you can escape their clutches, probably after being forced to make a donation.
I have witnessed many an unfortunate come to grief at that spot including, one Sunday, the man who had won the German Grand Prix the previous day.
Let Mr Bellinger sneer all he wants, he obviously thinks he has nothing to learn from an old hand like me. That's his perogative, but at the speed he drives the dangers of missing the corner are slight.

Just let me know if you require any additional guidance on technique, I will be more than happy to share my vast knowledge with you FOC.

Note to Jon Ellison; I appreciate your remarks about the 'old GP circuit', but I must say that the new Arena section looks like it could be fun as well, particularly the new right hander shown in the picture in an earlier post.

Bob. Coach to the multitudes.

PS; Question for jack. What exactly is a playstation, is it like the thing my grandson has for his Thomas the Tank engine set?

Would that be the Wi (fe) Jack?

And would that make you a game boy?

If so perhaps you should swap your Moss Box for an XBox.
