As I understand it 2CV drivers use them to wake them up when it is time to come into the pits for a driver change (or in Jack's case. Fresh underwear)

Nota Bene; I am not sure that this thread is going anywhere useful!! #-o

Actually Bob, in last year's 2CV race we set the fire extinguisher to go off when it was time for Jack to come in. After that he definitely did need a change of clothing but none of us witnessed him changing so cannot possibly comment on the underwear situation (nor indeed would we want to!)

Jim Lad,
I claimed expertise as an aerodynamicist (!) not an apiarist, so please do not confuse the issue any further with questions completely beyond the scope of this enquiry. Before we know it we will have animal welfare groups, environmentalists, Greens, Save the Bumble Bee campaigners and Pollen Protection Advisers swarming all over us, let alone Health and Safety experts!
I am sure you meant well, but let us stick to the salient points,or in other words ....Walls to you!

One thing I have never denied, Jack, however, I would like to assure you that my 'verbotens' (Ref; Goon Show) are not worn 'Major Style'. Alas I was never in the commandos, merely a serving airman.

Mary,
In view of the foregoing quote from Mr Bellinger, am I to conclude that the much revered 'Snetterton Incident' is without foundation?
Is it all just pants?

I can see that you'll all be glad when the season starts.

While you are talking 2CVs, we just had a car rally over to Switzerland and we were introduced to a very fast 2CV.

Thud, thud. (people falling off their chairs in wonder or amusement)

The 2CV in question had been stripped out and converted into an estate car so it looked like a bread delivery van. But in the back it had a V12 ferrari engine and boy did it go! It was called 2cv NIMIK

It was faster than Sharlie's C class plus 8 on the hill climb, and she had snowsports tyres.
Kind Regards

See Jim? I warned you about the consequences of un-necessary questions! Now we have a Vetinarian involved in our affairs. Goodness knows where this will all end up, probably in The Hague.

Nevertheless, nice to hear from you Phillip, no doubt your revelations concerning V12, 2 CV's will send Jack and Mary in to raptures. By the way did the hill have a wall?
