Pomeroy Trophy
I see we have four Morgans entered for this event, Messrs. Lees, Laidlaw, Conway and Phillips C. surely the Marque must triumph this year!

Re: Pomeroy Trophy
If they still do the braking test under the bridge look out for ice, it can be very challenging!

Re: Pomeroy Trophy
I expect some bod in a Bugatti Royale will be able to load more VSCC specification suitcases into his car than I can stack onto the Roadster. Still he may struggle more in the driving tests.

Re: Pomeroy Trophy
The results of the Pom are now available from the VSCC, unfortunately there was no silverware for the Morgan Brigade. The winner was Dudley Sterry in his HRS Sports, from a Ford Cortina, and a Frazer Nash Le Mans Replica. Paul Conway lead the Mogs in 38th spot two places ahead of Chris Phillips with Tony Lees at 53rd. Kelvin was classified 85th.
Well done to all as it was very wet for the Speed Trial section. Pictures now posted on the usual sites.

It's on again this year!
Re: Pomeroy Trophy
Remember, there is no public access, you will need a ticket to get in to the circuit. (Mark)TonyLees wrote:It's on again this year!

Re: Pomeroy Trophy
no ticket needed this year; all you need to do is turn up with a member.
Re: Pomeroy Trophy
Well, Tony, that may be so but I was merely trying to save people a wasted journey, after all not everybody has a suitable member.TonyLees wrote:no ticket needed this year; all you need to do is turn up with a member.

Re: Pomeroy Trophy
I must admit Bob I did think of you when I read the requirement!
Do we know who from the Morgan world will be or is hoping to be competing yet?
Cheers

Re: Pomeroy Trophy
Good news, I have just heard from the VSCC that the Pomeroy is now a public event, so no member needed to gain access. I assume there will be a charge, but this was not mentioned, for most club events at the circuit it £8/10 per person, with kids free.
