Tony
Hey, you're only supposed to use the posting once.

The starting procedure looks a bit laborious.

If you look very carefully, there are various Morgan folks in the background. Bill Beck, Brian Clutterbuck?

The previous owner of this car (for it was recently sold at auction) rebuilt it not far from Dave Siviters house in Hanley Swan (his next door neighbour I think). The man doing the tinkering is Mark Walker - driver of the 1908 GP Italia.

The Auckland VCC had a "movies night" recently and the whole story of this car and its amazing rebuild was shown. Anne Templeton, owner and driver of a 1908 Darracq is a Kiwi and lives in Hamilton. She regularly competes in her car at Vintage events over here.

Thanks for the posting Tony - an amazing machine

Cheers

I seem to recall Anne brought the Darracq over two years ago for a VSCC season- great car and fantastic to watch going up Prescott,

The car in the video is Mark's new toy. It took him 2.5 years to rebuild it (again).
Here's what they said about it at the auction: http://preview.tinyurl.com/y8pzt7q
For pedants (who, me?), Mark races a 1908 GP Panhard (not an Itala)

Good posting Tony. A real Terry Thomas machine! Fantastic. I trust it moves too?
