Re: Silverstone International RIP
Looks more like the venue for a PCT rather than a race !

Chris - that second map of the new MotoGP track still seem to allow for the same alternate International layout to be configured! Even if the Bridge is gone, the track that is currently the International layout seems to still be and option.

I see that I misunderstood the posting in another forum, which now suggests that the International circuit will be unavailable through most of next year while the redevelopment of the various layouts takes place.Bob Bull wrote:My sources are impeccable.
Does that match your information, Bob?

Great! One of my likely races (not that many!) was going to be at the International (MG's), oh well when is Brands or Thruxton going to be then!Chris Acklam wrote:I see that I misunderstood the posting in another forum, which now suggests that the International circuit will be unavailable through most of next year while the redevelopment of the various layouts takes place.Bob Bull wrote:My sources are impeccable.

Re: Silverstone International RIP
I suspect it will depend on how the re-development goes, the International should not need much modification, to fit into the new MotoGP layout, and I would anticipate that the circuit would not wish to limit use of any of the tracks and risk revenue loss.Chris Acklam wrote:Does that match your information, Bob?
I will make further enquiries and report back - as this seems to be of a matter of intense interest to many members.
Certainly there was no mention of any loss of use when I spoke to my source. Actually I rang the BRDC, no big deal.

Re: Silverstone International RIP
Indeed as the Short track is pretty micky mouse and can't generate that much revenue on its own. They surely need the international as well (+ the silly trackday course for people that should really be racing, but don't have the balls!)
