Re: IS THIS THE END OF BRAKEHORSEPOWER ? – Comments Please
Meanwhile, deep in the forest in another faraway part of the shire, the old woodsman bent over his workbench, sawing and chiseling at the finest timber he could find to season in his shed behind the shop. The old boy was getting on now, having been at his craft at least as far back as the days of th...

that overnight the ballbearings had been mixed with some bits of steel from an old crankshaft and lovingly forged into a billet. Standing on a stump of old Belgian ash so they could reach the anvil were three tiny elves, decked out in their smart blacksmith aprons, (with Castrol, Champion and Morgan...

Re: 'Moss Box' +8 Race/Rally car for sale
Hi All: Simon's description stirred fond memories of my first real recollection of Morgans, from 1970. I was looking to buy a new car that year while living in Calgary, Alberta, where trucks and horses were by far the more familiar transport mode. But there was a sports car dealer who actually had a...

wood-rim steering wheel
Does anyone have an original wood-rim steering wheel as could have been fitted to a 1963 Plus Four they would consider selling. Not a repro or a Moto Lita (already have one) but the real thing in useable condition?
Thanks, Larry Emrick.

around the world
Hi All: Stumbled upon an interesting video on Utube today about a round-the-world Morgan expedition in 1994, involving three Morgans and their French crews, who achieved the feat in 90 days. This might be old news, but it's been revived on the Hagerty site and I tracked it down on utube by Googling ...

Dear Friends: I am saddened to read of the possible demise of the website. I am a non-competitor newcomer and located in Canada, so I am out of the loop, but I have found the site to be the most informative, intelligent and civilized of all the sites that I frequent. I have managed to read most of t...

Re: Chris Lawrence
I saw him at Laguna Seca in the 80s in a 2.6 AC Aceca . I still remember the sound the car made, more like a truck than a race car. Too bad it wasn't a Morgan although one of the Baby Dolls was there, and a lovely Flat Rad.

Re: 405 FXO
It was such a thrill to see that race on Utube. It was disappointing when Charles dropped back, but a bit of a relief too because I kept thinking "if that pace keeps up something bad's going to happen". It didn't of course and he finished a credible eighth. What a race. Easily found on Goo...

Re: +4 Super Sport, high line body
Hi All: The discussion about SS scoop attachment re-ignited a query that has mildly interested me for years (I know, I don't get out much)? What was the reason for the reversed-wire on the rear of some SS bonnets? I have read about it but only seen one, many years ago, and now can't remember whether...

Hi All: I have been devouring The LawrenceTune Years and am now on my second read. What a monumental work and thanks to all who were involved. I am interested to know what original Lawrence tuned cars are still being raced and by whom. Who do I look for in the various videos and the Morgan Challenge...

I finally received my long-awaited copy of The LawrenceTune Years and now All will be revealed. What a monumental project. I am having to put it down occasionally to make it last.

Hi Mark:
Thanks for the information. It certainly was a successful endeavour but presumably going to the TR engines put him in another class. I did stumble on one other instance but can't just now remember the details. Odd that there weren't more.
Thanks, Larry
