Do Morgan Drivers Get Lost

After a year inhabiting this forum one thing has become clear to me; If you needed to go somewhere and be there at a particular time, you would be well advised not to let a Morgan owner drive you.
I have come to this realisation from reading the answers to various posts on this forum. You see no matter what subject the original post relates to, it is impossible to keep most people on course, they wander off down side streets, get lost in cul-de-sacs, meander through long forgotten lanes and wander aimlessly through the backstreets of common sense. They take the most obscure and circuitous routes that have little or no correlation with the eventual destination.
Perhaps in time someone will invent a mental 'sat nav' that can be issued to members, to guide them through the maze of their intellect and bring some much needed continuity to the threads posted by more focused individuals.

I will give just one example of this distressing tendency, to illustrate my point.

I recently posed a question in this section regarding the security of the British Grand Prix following it's proposed move to Donington!

The first reply related to some arcane circuit in Europe, known only to the most obscure of competitors, and having no bearing on the question posed.

Then we receive graphic detail of some muddy building site in New Zealand purporting to be a suitable venue for a Formula 1 event. This particular item coming from the other side of the world from a man who felt he had to move to the Antipodes simply because he owned, and wore, a suitable hat for the climate.

My finger hesitates over the submit button, as I fear the response to my observation may stray into areas no respectable person should go..... (deep breath ..here goes!)

Bob the Fearless.

Stylistic posting Bob, very allegorical.

Great weather yesterday. Ideal for open top motoring to take one's mind off the credit crisis. Now where were we......?

not sure what you meant by Caramba Bob, so I googled it:

<<Caramba was a Swedish music group. It released one self-titled album in 1981. The album is chiefly notable because it is recorded entirely in non-existent language.>>

Perhaps you could explain as there may be another meaning, though this would seem to fit well.

I knew that!

No I did not, I think it is 'cod' Spanish expressing, Eureka! Bingo! Allez!, Wunderbar! Abracadabra!

Used a lot back in the '50's.

I just like to keep people on their toes to avoid complacency creeping in. Still no doubt when playing Trivial Pursuits over Christmas I shall suprise and impress my friends with my detailed knowledge of Swedish Pop Groups.

Why not Google 'Sam the Sham and the Pharoahs' see what you come up with? What else you got to do?

Kind regards,

Bob

Phillip,
My apologies. Caramba is indeed genuine Spanish meaning "by Jove!" "Well I'm dashed."

Well I'll be blowed!

Vaya Con Dios!
