I do not read this publication,so perhaps you could provide a brief summary of the article but without expressing your views

The best 'rule or regulation' I know of is the one that states anything outside the spirit of the rules is chucked out.

I take it that the article being referred to is on a similar topic to Tony Drons article about hammers - as published in the March issue of Octane Magazine.
