Does anyone out there have a transponder surplus to requirements? Prefer a rechargeable one that can be swopped between two cars. Must be acceptable to the powers that be that run Historic Motor Sport.
Alternatively, anyone bought one rececently and can recommend a supplier (ie cheap!!)
Thanks
john

Peter,
I think this is what you mean
They make two types.
1. one that is a permanant fixture and is powered by car battery.aprox £213.0
2. the other is re chargable so you can move it from car to car. ( This one costs more) and comes with a charger aprox £300 I think

John – to avoid the hassle I would think that two plumbed in transponders (at £416) is better than one rechargeable at £300.
Presumably the alternative is to have one plumbed in but removable (ie on a clip and a plug / socket)

I have just done a Google search and found a rechargeable one available for sale priced at £226.78 inc VAT on this web site:

Like Leigh, I have two wired in transponders. At first I thought this was a bit of a waste, but it is really very sensible as there is no risk of forgetting it, not charging it or of damaging it. Suits me anyway!
