VSCC Silverstone

Some impressive cars including some old Morgans (and even older drivers) at a fffffffff…freezing but helpfully dry Silverstone. It was so cold that the multiple spectator stands were completely empty.
Clearly the highlight of the whole event was the eye catching (pre war?) overcoat sported by the Consort to the VSCC President which was clearly being given an airing and outing before its triumph at the next Goodwood Revival meeting.
The Morgan races, a rewarding mix of old and new cars (the moss box contingent reinforced by Mr. Plant), were engaging, nay exciting with multiple pirouettes and non finishers with technical problems, but, clean and fair, at least from the rear of the grid, (probably a result of a participating MSA steward in the entry list).
ps
Mr Ahlers is now only 99 wins from staggering 200 Morgan race win record. What a feat.
pps
well done Messrs House, Shears, Tisdell and Sebba in the support races!
