Andy, what exactly of you mean by "old style"?

We have one that is over 20 years old but I don't know what the difference is between old style and new style.

ymo still produce a version which prints on sticky paper/film

So I mean the type that actually makes the letters onto a strip which feeds into the machine and that each letter has/is formed onto the plastic strip

Hi Andy,

I think they still make the embossing type - have a look at their web site:

http://global.dymo.com/enCA/Categories/ ... akers.html

Amazon sell them:

http://www.amazon.co.uk/Dymo-Omega-Embo ... words=dymo

Is this what you are looking for?

I do have one as you may see from my +8 where there are numerous dymo labels to remind Tamsin and myself which is the ‘fire’ and which the ‘elec’ and which is the ‘choke’ (something fitted to older cars !).

But from the descriptions I think my dymo – despite being about 15 years old- is the modern type.

Having little knowledge of Gilberns I am somewhat suprised to learn that (presumably) they used Dymo labelling as original!!!

And I thought the 2CV was basic as they came. And to think that I stood trackside while they were racing!! #-o
