Re: Nothing to Report
Bob - Simon and I have entered our pre-war Mogs in S’stone Classic so may see you there – although I hear it is quite a large event so more likely see you the following week for BDC
Is it you at the Olympic velodrome to break the world record for one hour (on a bike) this Sunday ? Not sure I could go that fast in my pre war Mog !

You mean that ancient snap that you invariably produce when trying to impress people?
I definitely think that there is little enthusiasm for the Series 1 Morgan, certainly not enough to justify a thread dedicated to them. I am of the firm opinion that it should be scrapped and replaced with a section for tennis rackets and bicycles, so much more to talk about and such a rich history to explore.
I bet there is not a single BHP member who can not add there own experiences of bikes and rackets to our site. Why I can almost see them already searching drawers and attics for items to boast about, and with which to titillate our jaded (by Series 1) palettes.
Over to you Chris. JCC. You may stand down.

Leigh I will of course track you down, and sample whatever hospitality you have to offer, at both meetings.Leigh Sebba wrote:Bob - Simon and I have entered our pre-war Mogs in S’stone Classic so may see you there – although I hear it is quite a large event so more likely see you the following week for BDC

As to tearing round a velodrome? No way! For me a bike is a means of transport, for going from one place to another enjoying the scenery as you go. Rather like a Series 1 driver I expect ................. only faster!
It might not be much but is keeping this moribund section limping along.

Re: Nothing to Report
And so it goes on. Last post six months ago. What is the point of a Series 1 forum?
Maybe this could be changed to a forum for Vauxhall Velox owners, Hillman Minx devotees, Lanchester fans, or even lovers of Trabants! Surely anything generating less interest then a Series 1 Morgan would be hard to find.
Simon, Tony, Jack, Leigh, Sam ... over to you.

Tony's car is a 30/98 not a Velox.

Yah! Boo! Sucks! Mr Bevan, I have ACTUALLY ridden in a 30/98 Vauxhall, so I can tell the difference, AND in my 1950's scrapbook, I have pictures of a Vauxhall Velox. In fact I could talk about them for hours, something Series 1 owners are unable to do about their treasures.
Given the above it is good to see a further contribution from yourself, as this is a twofold blessing; a) you have time to write once again following your travails of last week, and b) it adds a little grist to the mill that might keep this section afloat a little longer.
A Sam Harrytan.

Re: Nothing to Report
I thought this was a Series 1 forum, why all this drivel about 4/4's, 4-4's. Let us stick to posts only about theses wonderful cars.
By the way, was there ever a Series 2?

Re: Nothing to Report
Now that was not too hard was it?
Do try and keep the forum limping along, I do mot want to be reviving it indefinitely. I am somewhat Series 1 myself after all.
