Don't you really want to question why a group of a few Morgan owners from one Mog centre who want to organise a treasure hunt on public roads, which they are licensed to drive on, insured to drive their cars on, taxed to make them legal to drive, have MOT tests to make their cars safe to drive, have to get MSA permission to do this social event, yet a bunch of 'celebrities' can get in a car they are not familiar with, take an ARDS test on the same day, then go out hell for leather racing with other 'celebrities', trash a few cars, walk away, still being a 'celebrity' ,to leave a few Morgan owners without cars to drive in. There has got to be something wrong somewhere. The sport is so over-regulated for 'entry level' events, yet these 'celebrity' idiots seem to laugh in the face of the standards we have to over-adhere to?

Anyone can race if they pass an ARDs test and all the owners agreed to lend their cars to MMC for this event

While the various accidents have been disapointing,all the participants survived showing the stength of our wonderful Morgans

The MSA rules are clear and all MSCC members should abide (as we are affiliated to the MSA)

Finally we should support MMC with all their various projects to raise the profile of the brand/company

I agree with Richard, all too many of our freedoms have been eroded over the years, and we are increasingly treated like children by the very people we elect to govern us, (well apart from the EU).
Certainly we should respect the rules once in force, but we should not be afraid to challenge them and seek orderly change where we disagree. Personally I believe that if you wanted to race your Morgan without Roll Cage, Fireproof undies or helmet you should be allowed to, the element of risk is down to the individual to judge, not bureaucrats, nobody forces you to race after all.

Once you give a bureaucrat power or position they instinctively start to expand their influence expotentially. Just wait 'til i'm in charge.
