What exactly is a Series one Morgan?

I think that is one of those technical academic and philosophical questions, for, at the time, they didn’t know there were going to be later models.

A bit like presumably pre war cars weren’t called pre war at the time, unless they anticipated the war……

Were any cars called Mark 1 when produced – or was it only the second model that was the Mark 2………
