If anyone out there has any photos of the events at Devil's Elbow on the first lap of the Morgan race before the red flag came out I would be interested to see them and maybe have a copy or two (just for the album)......

Hi Mary there are lots of photos of what happened here:

You need to Select Mallory park, 25th July and the time 1330-1400. I think there are more in the other time slots.
John
PS Hope the car is not too badly broken.

Thanks John, that's quite a comprehensive selection of photographs.
The damage is fairly extensive. We won't know until we take the body off the chassis whether we need a new chassis or not.
It will be a while before we can put her right, certainly no racing for JEK until next season now.
I think poor Kathy's car was quite badly damaged as well.

Mary,
Looking back over some of the older posts, it seems that you are building up quite a portfolio of crashed cars. Maybe someone 'up there' is trying to tell you something?
Worried of Luton.

My last major shunt was in 1981 so I think maybe 29 years without a blemish on my record is reasonable.
Which other crashed cars in my portfolio are you referring to?

Mary,
I did not mean to imply that you are 'Crash Queen' or a serial accident specialist, I merely wanted to see if you still had that spirit we all love so much on this site. Happily it seems you are as fiesty as ever - it' good to know.
I do hope that while your Bulldog is Hors de combat, that we will still see you at Silverstone next weekend?
Yours as ever,
Bob

on a more positive note I can report that the yellow peril is "de combat" and ready to roll

Glad to hear that the Yellow Peril is in good shape and
ready to roll
but do be careful what you wish for.....!

Bob, my spirits are in good shape, in contrast to my poor car which is less so.
I probably won't be at Silverstone as we have to prepare the 2CV for her annual outing which is 21st - 22nd August.
I hope you all have a great time.

Does anyone have any good paddock or racing photographs which I could use in a report for Miscellany?

Hi Mary,
I have some photos of the accident as I was at the Devils Elbow when it happened, if you give me your email address I'll send you them.

Jon, have you any "three wheeler" ones?
