Memorabilia

I seem to remember someone on this forum is a fan of Johnny Herbert, if so I have a poster from the 1995 Italian Grand Prix won by the same Herbert and signed by the man himself. Should anyone be interested I am quite willing to be parted from it for a small sum. It is in good condition and would make a wonderful Christmas present for a fan of the Romford man.

Gentlemen,
This is not 'Loose Torque', but an area dedicated to the sale and purchase of items of interest to Morgan (and Jaguar) drivers. Please respect the ethos of the section, and make only substantial offers for the item offered for sale.

Following the opprobrium generated by my attempts to dispose of surplus sporting equipment in the past I would not care to repeat the experience. No this is a genuine offer. When I eventually shuffle off to the big studio in the sky all of 'Dad's Junk' will probably end up in a skip, so I thought it might be a good idea to try and give it a good home, so should the poster arouse some interest I may put up other items of value to the collector.

Bob, first you say:
I am quite willing to be parted from it for a small sum.
...and then you say:
Please respect the ethos of the section, and make only substantial offers for the item offered for sale.
This is very confusing. Are you looking for a small sum or a substantial offer?

Mary,
Sorry for the confusion, I clearly did not make myself clear, so to clear up any confusion, let me make it clear that substantial was intended to indicate an offer of substance, rather than of great magnitude, I hope that is clear.
Jack's offer of 1+1=2 (ponies) equates to fifty knicker. I would find that very acceptable indeed, but have little hope for such an outcome.
I seem to recall that it was Mark Shears who first raised the Name of Johnny Herbert in this forum, but I have previous experience of his financial acumen, so once again I fear for a satisfactory resolution.
I will bring a CD to the Birkett for you.
Kindest regards,
Bob. (AKA Steptoe)

...I was hoping you wouldn't remember Bob!
Interestingly (?) in the light of Jacks dubious equine offer my connection with Johnny is equestrian (his daughter keeps horses at same yard as my daughter.)
Should I ask him to sign Jacks pony?!
See you tomorrow (HSCC Silverstone).
Cheers
Mark

Bob why dont you have a "garage sale" on Saturday. I am sure there will be a couple down the lower end with not a lot going on.
