And the other one is on pole for tomorrow morning's race. (They didn't take on Ross Brawn as a consultant, did they?)

Just returned form Silverstone where Catherine & I lucky enough to witness this fantastic event with Charles Morgan in BRDC! Huge groans when Audi R8 overtook Morgan for 1st place with commentator saying "modern technology outstrips the old" and then huge cheers when Audi went out with technical problems. Best performance had to be the Morgan that came 6th after it spun on first lap. Couldn't believe how tiny the Morgans looked in parc ferme compared to the Aston's and the Porsches but maybe this is their advantage? Sets me a target for next weekends GTSCC race at Silverstone...........ahem! =D>

And a second win (for the second Morgan) in Race 2.

Fantastic weekend - and what a great start to the year.

Aston Martin, Jaguar, Audi, Porsche, Ferrari, Corvette, Lamborghini, Ford GT, BMW,Dodge Viper!!!

What wonderfully evocative names they are, the great marques of sports and GT car racing, how many Le Mans have they between them?
How many famous races can they boast off?

Hang on a minute, somethings wrong! What's this? Morgan??????

No, no, Morgan does not belong in there surely?

Well until the weekend perhaps not, but two, yes two, brilliant victories have put this 100 year old marque right there in amongst the best.

Mind you there we were celebrating this icon manufacturers tremendous achievement and the play the 'Marsellaise'.

Well done to Morgan! They certainly know how to celebrate 100 years.

Plenty of pictures on the usual site, if you were not able to be there to witness the event.

Bob.

NB: Badmington Horse trials! The lengths some people will go to, to avoid paying their debts!!

My thanks not only to Chris to alerting us to the live feed of the race but also to you Bob for the excellent photos of the two Morgans, before, during and after the race. Really interesting. Especially the new bodywork. Echoes of Aeromax and the new Super Sports with the same rear light treatment.

Cheers

Mark

Mark,
I am glad you liked the pictures, the car is certainly stunning and never looked pushed in the second race (I did not see race one) It sounded great as well.

I wonder how long before one turns up in the Morgan Challenge?

Seriously I can wait for the cheque, I am sure that anyone who knows you would not think, for one moment that you are going to a horse trial to dodge your debtors.

We still await a report on the DVD, if your daughter is riding horses, why does she need your DVD player?

Bob.

PS; I am sure that we all wish her good luck.

Thank you Bob - I will pass on your best wishes to Chef d' Equipe!

Do you need a couple of tickets for the HSCC meeting this weekend at Silverstone?

Will you be making the long and hazardous trek South for the Tucker Trophy?

Cheers

Mark

Mark,
Thanks for the ticket offer, however, as a member of the media I do not require 'tickets', as to the 'Tucker Trophy', is this some sort of Australian Scoff Award?

Actually The Hatch is a fairly simple run around the M25 although there is the expense of the Dartford Tunnel to consider and with my present financial situation I am probably precisely £4.99 short of funds! I just don't know where the money goes!

Bob - the tunnel / bridge is free to cars 10pm to 6.00 am - so you should get to Brands pretty early
