Wanted - X-Flow exhaust manifold

Hi all
Does anyone have a mild steel X-Flow exhaust manifold that they would like to part with. After Saturday's Lands End Trial, mine is trying to tell me that it wants to retire.
Thanks

Dave,
We are about to replace a mild steel manifold for a stainless one, on a customer's 4/4.
I will ask him if he wants to sell the old one.
If you come over to the workshop this week you can see it.

Hi Jim
Failed 4 hills but got ALL the restarts asked of us. That's a first for me. Simon was amazed at what the car is capable of and it's ablility to survive the trial. Said he would like to pasenger again - must have banged his head on something!
Thanks for the info about Rob's stainless manifolds but with what I do to them, I can weld mild steel ok-ish and stainless not at all.
Comgratulations on the Bronze.
Hi Tim
Have been in touch with Darren today asking if you chps had a speedo cable in case the one I have just ordered does not turn up by Friday. Mine broke on the trial and I have another trial on Saturday (MGCC Kimber Trial ) so I think it's best I have the speedo working. I hope your customer wants to sell the manifold and silencer as well.
Thanks

Hello Dave Sapp - long time no see !
Have you managed to sort out your manifold issues ?

Hi Andy
It must be 20 years since I've seen you. I stopped competing when Gemma was born, she is now 20! Doesn't time fly.
As for the manifold, I going to try the one Tim has. It is a 4 into 2 into 1 whereas mine was the one that came with the car. If it doesn't affect the flexibility of the engine then I'm sorted. If it does, then I'll be on the lookout again. But first I need to find out why I finished yesterday's Kimber Trial on 3 cylinders. Then I can try the manifold.
As a complete aside, I've put some pictures of my Series 1 rebuild on the web. Use the following link and password to view if you're interested.

Thanks for asking about the manifold. Are you going to Cheltenham at all? May see you there if you are.

Dave,
I have an original (I think) manifold that I may consider donating to a competitive home if you get stuck - tin worm's had the silencer end but I'm sure you could fix that.
Cheltenham is unlikely as I'm not a great one for shows and organised fun. More likely is Castle Combe on the 25th May - which is getting closer to you.
However you'll always be welcome with us at the BOTG
Best Wishes
Andy

In which case I'll make the effort and see you at Castle Combe. I'd be interested in your manifold if I can swap it for something in return if that's ok with you. I'll then be in the best position to get the car back to trialing condition again.
See you soon.

Dave,
I'll dig it out and send you a photo - please feel free to remind me if it's not forthcoming !
I replaced mine with a 'bunch of bananas' in the early 80s - Barry Sumner had a batch made and it's still going strong.

Dave
if you get really stuck, I have the cast iron one from my 1.6 efi, along with a stainless silencer. I think you would have to be really stuck though, to go back to these!
