'Holly' Birkett 6 Hour Relay - Silverstone 26th October 2005

Whilst I'm in the mood I thought I'd start a topic to highlight Morgan participation in this year's Birkett 6 Hour Relay at Silverstone 26/10/05.
We normally get a fair number of Morgans turning up to support and enjoy the (confusing) race so a few details may be in order.
Our Miscellany Editor Charles Neal is currently competing in a Fiesta stock-hatch series and was hoping to field a team.
My current understanding is that there are 3 Morgan Teams entered :-
I am honoured to once again be managing
Kate & Simon Orebi Gann's - "Morgans For Fun" equipe
Simon Orebi Gann
Barry Sumner
Paul Burry
Phil Hollins
Kelvin Laidlaw
hopefully Jack or Billy Bellinger
Keith Ahlers - "Morgan Challenge" Team (perhaps KA can fill in the details).
Andy Green - don't know the Team name or drivers (I'm sure AG will oblige).
All supporters are welcome, and the race lasts long enough to have a chat with old friends, a couple of beers, a wander round the circuit, and still see the end of the motor race.
Have Fun

Thanks Andy, I was just about to post asking for details from everyone before I saw yours ...
I shall be along that day to watch, take a few pictures and generally get in the way. Looking forward to it.

The Morgan Gentlemen Team is
Tony Lees
Peter Sargeant
Frank Grimley
Ray Higgs
Russel Patterson
Andy Green
Team manager Geraint Lewis
Only problem is working out a driver plan that allows for Cigar breaks
Any help or advice appreciated

In the process of developing a crash helmet that allows us to smoke on the move! We need to standardise "gauge" though and Sarge is a little under developed in this department!!

Russell - we need a concerted effort to stamp out the two t's we are often awarded in Paterson - THERE IS ONLY ONE!

Private Eye , Classic Car, and other mags have a letters page which specialises in ‘Pedantic Letter of the Month’ and I feel I should win that (and Iris agrees !)
But – just so everyone doesn’t take a Wednesday off – shouldn’t this be headed 29 (not 26 ) October

I've just received the final instructions.
What fun! The three Morgan teams are billetted in Garages 2A, 2B and 2C. The first time in my memory we've all been in the same garage suite.
Lot's of spare parts to share with each other......
See you soon, Keith.

Nothing wrong with my axle.............
The car returns to Silverstone scene of it's last outing the Willhire 24 hours. Hopefully Billy will have washed it and I've refuelled the car by the time we get there.
The Morgan Challenge team entry is:-
Keith Ahlers
Oliver Bryant
Rick Lloyd
Chris Williams
plus maybe a surprise guest!
See you soon, Keith.

I don't think you need worry about washing the car Keith but I would bring along a pair of wellies if I were you.
