Yes! John Islington in Gloucestershire.

I was wondering if I should send you a fine A4 sized snap of yourself that you could sign and present to the winner of your go-kart game. what do you think?

I am sure it would be treasured by the lucky recipient.

As ever,
Your friend Bob.

It was pointed out to me at Silverstone on the weekend that I had never revealed the identity of the intrepid conductuer of the 'trolley' that was the original subject of this post, so I should explain that the individual concerned is named Eric Dunsdon, a friend of mine for over 60 years.
We both had a great love of motor racing and regularly cycled from Barnet to Silverstone, Goodwood, Brands Hatch, Crystal Palace, and (once only) Snetterton (100 miles each way).
He is also the chap chatting with Alain Prost, Derek Warwick etc.

As you can tell - we both made it into the big time!!

OK, Phil?

Of course... #-o

Bob, it is all so obvious now (not). Thanks for putting our minds at rest by clearing up the identity of the pilote. We look forward to your next challenge.

How many days did these intrepid trips take.

Even John Emberson would be impressed with Barnet – Snett – Barnet in one day.

Or did you put the bike on the train ? :)
