A Bellinger sandwich? What a thought.

Presumably two thick slices with an old ham in the middle.

And why oh! Why are you all continuing to sign your messages with silly nick names?

What a lovely way you have with words and how carefully you protect everyone's feelings from any possibility of offence.

Bob – although in no way a technical person it seems to me that Morgan accidents are generally not too bad for protecting the occupants, but that a relatively minor accident can leave the car in a bad way. The bumper is joined to the front cross frame so a small bump bends this cross frame. And a slightly larger bump often causes a kink in the chassis so that although the car may be driveable it is not great as a racer where the handling has to be spot on. In addition aluminium wings are hard to repair. And a lot of the cars are over 30 years old so parts are not always easily obtainable.

And as for the SLRs from what I hear I am surprised they take them out of their cosy garage.

Sorry to raise the tone of the discussion.

Leigh,

Please don't tempt fate as all three SLR's are out at Ledenon this weekend for the final round of the GTSCC. A prang in one of these could be jolly expensive & keep a panel-beater in work for a long time............ [-o<

Raise away Leigh, but why spoil a perfectly sensible contribution with a silly sobriquet?

Welcome to the topic John, good to see you have not yet hibernated. I shouldn't worry about pranging the SLR, after all there are five more Morgans in the garage.

Thank you for the 'head's-up' on the 'mortal danger scenario' Mary. Hell hath no fury etc. etc. etc ...................!

Does this mean that you may, after all, be lurking around the Birkett?

On the one hand I would be pleased to see you, and on the other I might well be lucky to see you coming. Perhaps the wig and dark glasses may be a good idea.

Sun in your eyes Jack! But what's in your glass?

You know on a somewhat unrelated matter (Oh! Dear!) when I first signed up to this BHP site I was told I would get improved capabilities, however, I have failed to see any improvement in performance since joining, am I alone in this?
Have I misinterpreted the meaning of the phrase?
I wonder if there may not be reason to seek compensation under the Trades Description Act!

Back to Mary Lindsay and the original theme of this thread; Mary I am sad to note that you are bearing a grudge against any member of the media who feels constrained to report on matters Morgan where your previously unblemished reputation may be called into question, following intimate contact with fellow drivers.
Let's face it a sandwich by any other name would still taste like ham!
I can only hope that you would offer a fellow a sporting chance and at least give some inkling as to the colour and length of the wig.
