It was a genie who said :
"I will grant you three wishes.
What would you like me to turn this pile of old ash wood into? It can become either a really useful sideboard, a handy garden shed or the chassis for the Morgan (everybody knows they have a wooden chassis)."

Dino and JS, in search of more Oomph, set out for the local Ball Bearing factory, sadly Dino lost his bearings and JS lost his braces. Meanwhile Jack the Accessory Man, still hunting the elusive 'Towing Cam' set out for Halfords, home of every car cleaning kit known to man. "Ah! If I can make my Morgan shinier than the rest, I will be able to overtake anyone on the less wiggly bits" He muttered. Little did ke realise that the crafty Dino had burgled the store and 'alf inched all of the waxes, and now had the shiniest +8 in the world. Dame Mary Contrary, (not to be forgotten) was busy knittng the appropriate 'Hot Pants' neccesary to prise the rusty nuts from the grasp of the 'Sheffield Strangler', named for his tight grip on pound notes.
Also, meanwhile, in the backwoods of Canada, Larry Metric was stll struggling to decipher the early post from Pottonbob, a task that had defeated many in the past. So .........?
To be continued. (With a bit of luck.)

Meanwhile, deep in the forest in another faraway part of the shire, the old woodsman bent over his workbench, sawing and chiseling at the finest timber he could find to season in his shed behind the shop.
The old boy was getting on now, having been at his craft at least as far back as the days of the three-wheelers. But he could still wield a goodly draw-knife and plane, smoothing the seasoned, sweet-smelling ash to a silken touch.
His love for the wood and his craft was still as reverent as it was all those years ago, although as a careless and impatient young apprentice (as youth often is) he’d lost the tip of a finger to a saw.
He’d spend hours painstakingly forming each and every stick and plank, matching them up to his old pattern drawings, for this wasn’t going to be just another plasti-cart, another fire-breathing, tyre burning expression of excess and shameless sameness.
This will be a MORGAN, the most hallowed of more than a century of what the young people call the car culture.
But not just another Morgan (as though there’s such thing as “just another Morgan”).
This one was conceived to be a racer, offspring of the greats like BNP 370, TOK 258, and of course, the dauntless Yellow Peril.

A moderately impoverished pensioner in God's Own County will trawl the back of the armchair and sofa for funds however minor to support BHP. God bless this breed, this happy band.

So Old Age Peter, boasts of owning an armchair and a sofa, one that is used as an ATM when not in use for lounging! Wonders, wooden or otherwise, will never cease.
The Save Brakehorse Power, Pledge has now reached £50. 50p. I assume that an annual cost will be involved, meanng a regular committment to the cause?

just seen this lot
we are definitely excelling ourselves
they were not ball bearing they where beans you silly lot
which where planted to climb high into the clouds. to find the elusive (never made purely invented by dastardly BS and we all know what that stands for) towing cam !!!
climbing up I found the famous B.Bull!@£$ who asked did you bring a bottle (he must have found it hard to climb with his legs crossed). (personal joke)
a bit further up was MaryL(a pun on merryhell) trying to hang up her gloves but she was all fingers and thumbs
OH I forgot at the bottom was mr Sebba holding his ribs (just had his first crash ) Don't laugh he says (HA HA I Says ). in a Gokart.
then I overtook James S (again) I'm only on the 4th branch then his Brother with his head stuck under the bonnet (again).
If you haven't noticed I'm doing jack and the beanstalk
then came the classD Doctor (jumping branches again )V6 to Historics (it's probably an age thing)
next branch still no Towing cam ..... next branch>>>>>>>>>>>>

No, they were definitely ball bearings, Smudge always said so, and he knew they would come in handy one day.they were not ball bearing they where beans you silly lot
The cunning BS melted them down and made himself the mythical towing cam.
Jolly Jack climbed to the very to of the scrap heap (for that is what it was) and found his old WAR horse, looking very sorry for herself and very miffed that he had abandoned her in favour of some blue, 4-cylinder, rubbishy car. We all know that V8s are best.
At least the Class D Doctor drives a V8 in Historics.then came the classD Doctor (jumping branches again )V6 to Historics (it's probably an age thing)
There was the giant, waiting for Jack, "I've been waiting for you" he thundered. "I am the clerk of the course and you have ignored 12 yellow flags and several scrap cars belonging to that Sumner crew, come to my office at once!"next branch>>>>>>>>>>>>
