a great pleasure to see the compleat fambly at the Birkett today, pilots, pit and pit wall crew, managers, the odd press hack, supporters, visitors et al
but a special mention for the wonderful nosebag arrangements and the the tremendous effort by those special few who kept all of us in such good sustenance the whole day thru

Just to say a very big thanks to everyone (all 3 teams) involved at Silverstone,it was a real pleasure to participate

I have never seen so many "Morgan" visitors to the garage/pits maybe it was the great food or the keen competition on the track between the Mog teams which was observed by our dedicated pit wall crews.

Thank you Andy for those few kind words, however, as I spent almost all of my time either taking over 200 photographs of Morgans and their drivers, and tucking in to the scoff, I have only a rather hazy idea of what actually went on 'on-track'! Thanks to the ever efficient 750 Motor Club I can advise those who were not there,or who had eaten/drunk too much to notice if they were, of the final result for the Morgan teams.

Earning bragging rights for the next 12 months Morgan Gentlemen, lead home the Malvern Brigade, finishing an imposing 21st overall and 37th. on handicap, so well done to Messrs Andrew, Andy, Keith, Tony and Russell. A mere four laps in arrears came Morgans for Fun who thus ended up 34th. overall and 39th on handicap, while Guten Morgan who struggled with cars that worked, managed to be only 8 laps adrift of the Gents in 47th. spot and 51st on handicap. All-in-all a fairly close run thing in terms of talent and it was mainly the dramas that made the difference.
Weather was mainly sunny but a shower late in the day made conditions pretty slippy for the late runners, taking snaps at Copse in the last hour proved just how dodgy the surface was and while no Morgans went a'dancing, a look at my General Motorsport site will give some indication of the problems others encountered.

Once agin it was a genuine pleasure to be involved with the Morgans, and to see so many friendly faces - I have not shaken so many hands, and kissed so many cheeks, since I last ran for Prime Minister! Before Mary and Jack et al add their infantile contributions I kissed the ladies and shook hands with the men.
I probably should thank Kate and her 'sisters' for the magnificent spread, but this morning the bathroom scales had unpleasant news, so ...........!

Pictures are now on site and I hope I managed to catch everyone at some time or another during my photo journey around the whole Bridge Circuit, so some of the backgrounds will be new to many.
As always all pictures can be downloaded from the site and you do not need to ask if you can use them, I am flattered if anyone thinks them good enough to bother.

So the Season really does draw to a close .................here's to 2011.

As a sometime Morgan "hanger on", rumoured to be of (limited) assistance on the pit wall or elsewhere can I endorse the comments regarding the 6 hr. Efficient organisation, Good racing, "interesting" track conditions etc. - just a few too many Caterhams!!

However, if there was a prize for pit scoff, then there is no doubt that "Kate and the Girls" would win hands down on Scratch, let alone handicap (I expect we were the handicap getting in their way).

Commiserations to Keith for finding out how narrow and slippery the pit lane exit was.

Most of the drivers I spoke to gave the GP circuit a big thumbs up - As Barry S said "its a Man's track"!!

The positions previously mentioned are quite correct but not the whole story. Under the handicap system Morgan Gentlemen and Morgans for Fun were on the same lap with the gentlemen taking victory by just 22 seconds. How closely matched after six hours!

Many congratulations to Andy and the Gentlemen Drivers and to Morgans for Fun for giving them some competition!

Guten Morgans were simply happy to finish. Our list of woes over the weekend included 2 broken and unfixable gear boxes (one resulting in poor Andrew P being deprived a drive at all), 1 snapped half shaft resulting in the loss of a wheel (luckily at very slow speed), 2 incidents involving Caterhams, the first requiring an early stop and some body repairs and the second taking Roger (with the now replaced half shaft) off the track and the team receiving messages of trips to the medical centre (which proved to be false)! There was also an unscheduled stop (Roger again) following an incident involving what we think must have been a very large piece of polystyrene.....

Ulrich was the only team member whose car remained intact but had to leave a little early to drive back to Germany. John took the last half hour in Richard's car with instructions to do whatever was required to finish: there was noone left to replace him. The Guten Morgan garage was bare save for the hoards enjoying the fantastic catering that had been laid on. Many thanks to everyone who provided it.

Many thanks also to everyone who came to support the Morgan teams and especially to Roger and the rest of the Guten Morgan team for putting up with me. A great end to the season and despite our result an awful lot of fun.

Quite right Tony, but in between the two teams were the 'Four in Sevens' mob who beat the Funsters by 0.5 seconds!! Surely someone could have pulled out half a second on them!!!

As to John Emberson bringing Richard's car home at he end, as an observer/photographer travelling around the circuit, one was left with the impression that it spent most of the race on the circuit, it must have done more laps than almost any other car in the race, which says a lot for RTM preparation.
At least it kept them away from the nosh.
