That is a very nice car with great provenance , and presumably a joy to own and drive as well.
Is this your second +4 ? I thought the rally car was dark blue and a highline , this one is red/white and a lowline, or am I just confused?
Regards
Andy

Hi Andy,
You are 100% right, the blue car is a 1959 highline car. We use that one as you say for rallying and the normal road use in weekends.
This one is our second +4, meant for the track. Totally not a planned move......but after selling the +8, we could not resist this one when our friend Doug Sallen called me to ask me if I was interested.
I was planning on using the blue car for track and rally but as you said, it is not really possible. Engine, ground clearance, gearing, all different.
the car is a joy to drive, totally different in performance from the blue car, very much a high rev engine. I will have to learn and drive it though..... that will take some time I guess... just as getting in and out the car....not meant for tall people...!
Will keep you posted, 29 October first track day at Zandvoort! I only used it on public roads on a Sunday morning and I was blown away by the power but also by the incredible noise under the hardtop....
but I love the looks of the car with the LT hardtop!
Best wishes, Jochem

This one is around 9k Pounds Sterling (13,5K USD) asking price.

With a bit of bargaining it might be a basis for a racer? 1963 is a good year for FIA events.

Might be a wiser decision as a starting point, rather than a basket case....
Nice car! Don't know the car or the owner (might be here on the forum?) but the story is quite attractive.
Only issue is that the car is a '66 car and that might limit the eligibilty in certain events...? others here will know better.
Not involved, just passing on info.....
