Can anyone shed light on CBM 199, and it's current whereabouts? The car was owned and rallied by David Webb up until 1938, his grandson would e nterested to know. Pictures from the period may be availale.
Ta ever so,
Bob.

Correction, the gentleman was Frank Webb, not David, and I have scanned-in six period photos of the car in action.
Hopefuly this may jog a memory.

You could use them and accompany the photos with an acknowledgement to the copyright holder.
You are clearly not using the photos for profit.

Re: CBM 199
I searched DVLA records and there is no record of any road tax or MOT or SORN.
Doesn't mean it's not out there though - somewhere...?!
Cheers,
Mark

Re: CBM 199
Hi Bob,
You could ask his namesake Martyn Webb.
As you probably know he is the archivist at the Morgan Motor Co.
I have got his contact details if you need them - just get in touch...
Or will see you at The Leathern Bottle at Lewknor on Saturday 7th February.
Cheers,
Mark

Re: CBM 199
Thank you, Mark, the chap who is the grandson, actually came in to fix a freezer door for me, and notced my motorsport picures, and my Ruby Plaque (Thanks to all who signed), "My grandfather owned a Morgan", he said and quoted the Reg number instantly. He subsequently brought round the original photos of Fank in hs MG, and later Flat Rad, I have enhanced the pictures as best I can, and gave him a nice shiny A4 copy of the best one, he is going to send me datails of his grandad, which I will use to write an article for Miscellany, if Charles thinks it ineresting enough. Therefore it would be nice to learn more about the history of CBM 199, I understand that Frank owned it up to 1938, but not what happened to it, but a lot of cars were probably destroyed in the war. I will try and talk to Martyn Webb, who knows he might be related.
