A draft of the actual release.

Press Release.

A Morgan Challenge.

2025 marks the 40th Anniversary of the Morgan Challenge Series, run continuously since 1985, making it, probably, the longest running 'one make' series in the UK.

The first race was held at Snetterton on May 19th. as part of the 750MC's 'Spring Meeting' with 19 cars on the grid, the winner being Grahame Bryant, (father of Olly Bryant). First winner of the Challenge was Mary Lindsay, the only lady to have done so, though others have come close, as female drivers have always competed in the series.
Over the forty years 33 drivers have taken the title, six twice and one, Simon Orebi Gann, a triple champion. The term 'Challenge' came about as the complexity and cost of registering a 'Championship' was prohibitive, and not worth the hassle.
Overall winner of the Challenge holds the 'Peter Collins Tray' for a year, a silver salver awarded to 1950's Ferrari works driver, Collins when he and co driver, Phil Hill won the 1958 Sebring 12 Hour race. Following Peter's fatal accident at the Nurburgring later in the year, his family presented the trophy to the Morgan Sports Car Club.
Three drivers who took part in the initial race, still compete today, at least one in the same car, Morgan cars are well built, as are the drivers it seems.
To celebrate the anniversary a 'Ruby Race' will be held at the annual Bentley Drivers Club's August Meeting, the two famous marques have had a long running relationship.
Rounds of the Challenge regularly take in most of the UK's circuits, currently under the auspices of the Classic Sports Car Club, with the 2025 season commencing at, Donnington on April 13th, and ending at Thruxton, via, Cadwell Park, Snetterton, Silverstone (BDC), and Brands Hatch.
