TOK 258 Wins Spa 6-Hours 2024

Post by Andy Downes »

TOK 258 driven by Keith Ahlers, Billy Bellinger, and Christian Bock has just won its Class at the Spa 6 Hours thus repeating the result achieved last year by Simon Orebi Gann, Rick Bourne, and Calum Lockie in Simon's Super Sports spec. +4.

I watched via Live Timing and it got very tense at the end, for the final hour and a half it was nip-and-tuck between TOK and a well known Porsche 911 driven by the Bates brothers (they were leading last year with Calum catching when the 911 dropped a halfshaft so commiserations).

Billy got by with about an hour to go but could not get away and a bit of place swopping occurred, in the end he was able to lead out to the finish by a couple of seconds or so despite a late Safety Car and a late lunge by the Porsche.

Hopefully the protagonists (or Jack) will post some details/pictures from the scene.

Hearty Congratulations Keith, Billy, and Christian - that car really flies!

Have Fun 8-) 8-) 8-)

Thanks for reporting this Andy
WOW that's a superb result and very well done to Keith, Christian and Billy, sounds like an exciting and nail-biting race right through to the end.
I have no doubt they all retired to the Bar, so details, pictures might take some time

Yes it was indeed very exciting with TOK posting purple ie. fastest laps towards the finish.

Also racing in the 6 Hours was fellow historic Morgan racing driver Simon King.

He wasn't in his Plus 4 Super Sports this time but sharing a Ford Galaxie 500XL with Richard Owen and David Cooke. They finished a strong 52nd overall and bear in mind there were nearly 80 starters. Plus that must have been a handful in the sort of conditions we expect from Spa...!

Another well known Morgan driver in the 6 Hours was Ollie Bryant in his Ford GT40 who finished a fine 6th overall. Indeed out of the first 11 places GT40's took ten of them with a lone Lotus Elan 26R coming a stunning third overall!

Cheers,

Mark

Well done Billy, Keith and Christian!!

Does someone made some photos? Can write a report? Maybe we can report this in the MHR-new report in the December issue of Miscellany.

Best wishes and thanks in advance, Machiel.
