Moss Box Plus 4 16 inch wheels for sale

A friend has six 16" wheels from an early Plus 4 for sale. Four of the wheels are fitted with Avon 500/525 Tourist crossply tyres that are about ten years old. The other two have ancient Michelin Taxi radials. The friend lives in the Bath area and the wheels would have to be collected. I think he wants £75 each.

Yes, they were mine once. I bought a part-restored 1954 twin spare early cowl rad 2 seater +4 in late 2008. My daughter's partner completed the restoration and I used it for several years. During my ownership I changed the 16" wheels for 15" ones.

About three years ago I sold it to a friend in MTWC. Recently he was in the process of moving house and unfortunately there was an electrical fire in the garage in which the +4 was stored. The fire was unconnected with the Morgan, but unfortunately it suffered damage that made it an insurance write off. Great shame as it was a lovely car.

I wonder what happened to the remains - and the log book...?

I have tracked down your and Andrews old Plus 4 and yesterday managed to buy it back.

It has taken me 8 months to do it but I collected it yesterday from the salvage company.

It is better than I thought so am looking forward to a nice little winter project to bring it back up to par.

That's fantastic news. A while ago I checked on the DVLA web site and it showed a change of V5 in September 2020. This gave me hope that it had survived. I'm so glad that you have it.
