I could probably manage the part provided not more than three lines to remember :)
I agree Leigh you sound perfect for he part, but have you the legs for wearing tights?

The annual Brakehorsepower panto is upon us. I look forward to the usual thespians emerging from their winter hiding places and participating with gusto ! :D

Urgently seeking nominations for the roles of:

Aladdin (Male) – Our hero, a young man. Brave, energetic, handsome, regular hero qualities, nice guy.

The Widow Twanky (Dame – male or female) – His Mother she runs the town Launderette, constantly complains of being overworked but really does very little, Gives out a lot, strong, brash character, loud and in your face.

Wishy and Washy (Female) – Aladdin’s two sisters, complete with school uniforms and pig-tails, comedy duo must bounce off each other, usually to give out to Al or moan about all the work they have to do.

Abanazar (Male) – The sultan’s advisor, the baddie of the piece. Tall, dark and creepy, very evil and slimy.

Abdul (Male) – Abanazar’s sidekick, small and foolish. Funny accent and good comedy timing needed.

The Sultan (Male) – Small and round, busy little man, English accent would suit, posh and important. Easily confused.

The Princess Jasmine (Female) – A beautiful, innocent young lady, Al’s love interest, must have enough strength to stand up for her self at times.

The Genie of the Lamp (Male) – Should be a Woody Allen/ Roger Dangerfield type character, a sarcastic comedian that has a comment or a gag for all occasions, a real showman. Can go from big and brash, to sharp and sarcastic quickly.

Mervin – The Abominable Snowman (Male) – Big friendly Snowman/monster, so happy to see people he fusses a lot. He is really big and load and over excited, he wants to work in show business and bursts into song at any chance.

The Snow Fairy Dolores (Female) – Retired depressed, very dramatic, possibly drunk fairy. Was once powerful but not bothered anymore.

Crazy Old Jim (Male) – A very old, very confused man who has been trapped in a cave for many years.

Lets see those nominations flooding in !

Sounds rather like Class 'C' from your description, Tim!

As I look so good in that lovely hat I'm up for Widow Twanky

So Alleigddin was sitting at home counting his Dracmas ( all " 2 of them)(dreaming about being class D again )---------------

" .............. The Princess, looking simply stunning in her fireproof undies, and Nomex veil, sat in her boudoir fingers tapping frantically on her computer, as she tried to find details of the Aleighdin panto., having no idea of how to continue the plot. One thing was certain her wicked Aunt Letsay would soon bring Morgans into the story before very long, well she did in every pantomime since circa 1921.
With Seabass having appropriated the lead role, her own nomination for the part, slim handsome, winsome even, Elliesalot Pattercake nowhere to be seen, she was left harbouring grave doubts about any possible union with the aforesaid Aleighdin whose hirsute appendages made him look like Class A numpty.

One thing she could do to influence future events was to appoint Alan 'Housie; House as Wishy, a perfect fit for the part, and for the role of the Sultan ( a portly, roly poly, completely affable character) one Barry Sumner (with Peter Sergeant as stand-in for the part).
Further parts in the unfolding drama would need to be made soon, so watch this space.

A final thought Was it Widow T. ............. Oh!

Widow T is having a bit of trouble ( just found out she runs a launderette .......Never done a bit of washing in me life)

She needs encouragement from her son Aleighdin (I know I look to young to be his Mum).. who hasn't met the stunningly beautiful Princess in nomex yet

Meanwhile Wishey Housie (just found out Ive got 2 sons) is busy trying to master the washing machine and left foot braking
"""" just thinking about the Princess in Shrunken Nomex underwear"""""

now needing some input from Essex

A little lady from Essex was far to shy to put her name forward for a part in the BHP Pantomime, so her name was added to the list as he was perfect for one of the characters, as she is Snow Fairy. [-o<

Meanwhile the wine swigging Sultan was anxiously searching for his best mate, Abdul, and who better to star, than Wishy's little boy Dominatrix. In such a role he can be guaranteed to bring the house down. During this period Aleieghdin was busy shopping for a supply of incontinence tights in order to fulfil his ambition for a Class win in the Annual Aero Chocolate Challenge, a competition that required the contestants to imbibe tankards of ale while simultaneously stuffing bubbly chocolate bars down their cakehole as fast as possible. All of this n order to delay the moment when the actual story of Aladdin must be introduced into proceedings.

Anybody?

The Snow Fairy, puzzled to find herself in the wrong panto, decided not to spoil the story for a mere matter of accuracy and picked up the magic lamp to light her way into the dark cave before her…..

wherein lurked a savage bulldog, and it's equally savage handler ........
"What's my Bulldog doing in here?" she wondered (for it was she who owned the Bulldog) :?:

She fed the Bulldog with freshly minced Radio Editor, it immediately became calmer and she was able to put on its lead and take it along to see Aleighdin.

Unfortunately he had bought himself some weird and dodgy-looking tights and the Bulldog growled menacingly. "What can I do to befriend your fierce Bulldog?" he asked the Snow Fairy. "There is only one way" she replied "You must abandon the company you have been keeping in Class C and return to the homeland of Class D, you will be safe there."
"…and another thing - get rid of those weird tights!" [-X
