I've managed to squeeze the new car on by removing the tyre rack and as I spent all last summer trailing unused spare tyres hither and thither anyway it'll save fuel :-)

VSCC Pomeroy Trophy Silverstone 23rd Feb 2008

Three Mogs are fighting for honours in this eclectic and charming event this year - Mark Gilbart-Smith, Tim Hill and Timothy Richards. I'll be there in my 1914/18 Vauxhall (mainly because you get more points if you don't have any brakes worthy of the name). Worth watching as long as you dress up war...

me tight too - anyone got a spare racebox?
new car v v tight on current trailer and dead on the trailer weight limit - can't be a good thing even with a tonka toy tow car.
14th sounds good for testing.

Re: trailers

My thoughts: 1. Don't be a wuss, all mogs should be driven to and from meetings. 2. There is only one good tow vehicle - Merc ML63 3. I'm not advertising it yet :^o but my new racer (arriving saturday) might not fit my current Brian James tilt-bed MOG trailer (trailer race tuned and serviced by Mr W...

Re: GT Racer on 'DAVE'

Sadly I missed the first one but was very pleased to see the little car at the end of the second :-)
Mind you, I quite fancy a Stingray now...

Re: donington park track day

Tony- you were correct about the lack of instructors on the test day. Wish I wasn't - it'd be good to have someone in the car who knew where they were going. Suspect lower feb price reflects lack of cars ready to rock and roll that early in the season - sadly I think mine won't be ready by then but...

Re: Mallory Park 26th Dec 2007 - Boxing Day Plum Pudding Races

No results found anywhere (mind you there was no timing anyway...) it was all very laid back - we were each given a christmas cracker at the driver's briefing, and told to wear the hat throughout! when I say busy, it took Jen 45 minutes to get into the circuit; it was a bernie ecclestone moment! Che...

Re: Mallory Park 26th Dec 2007 - Boxing Day Plum Pudding Races

For the record, you all missed a great day!
Weather was fab, crowd was huge (I kid you not).
Morgan did well against strong competition eg funny flat things with wings - sports prototypes and a moggie minor.
Great fun and a good way to clear out the cobwebs. See you next year :-)

Option 2, although more expensive, does mean that the standard of driving (except mine of course) is higher as it's restricted to licence holders. John, are you sure they're offering instructors at a test day?

Curborough 1983 - where you there?

I was looking for some info amongst some old papers and found these results from the MSCC Curborough Sprint 1983. Looks like some famous names were there and quite a range of cars including some Vauxhall 30-98's (sorry Peter, no Ferrari's!) http://avantek.co.uk/lees/curborough-170783-i.jpg http://a...
