Thanks to Machiel and Andy for organizing a great day. Really good to see so many Morgans at the factory, and meet up with old friends at last, and put faces to names.

Re: supersports
Hello Machiel,
I'm not sure I'd know where to start it's seems quite a minefield but if you have the starts of a list along with John's /Ken Hill's list that might be the place to start from. Happy for you to email me.

Re: Super Sports ignition timing
Digging through the papers from Peter Evans that came with the car it seems he had a 'full race cam MTRF' from I & J Macdonald in 1973! Machiel - if you don't mind emailing me the documents it would be appreciated, do you have my email address? I will go with the 4deg as being as safe place to s...

Re: Super Sports ignition timing
Thanks Jack, as far as I'm aware it is still standard Lawrence Tune Super Sports, I have nothing from an engine builder to go on! Ideally I need to get the car to someone who knows Super Sports to get it set up properly  at the moment I'm just trying to get the car running reliably as it's had...

Super Sports ignition timing
Hi All, Wasn't sure which board to pick so hope it's the right one! I'm slowly working through sorting bits on my Super Sports and could do with some advise on what people are running with for ignition, from what I can find the TR engine should be timed static 4 deg BTDC, but then I've also been tol...

Andy,
yes Cyril & Joyce presented the trophy, a flat rad decanter, for best performance in a series 1.

Re: 1951 Silverstone relay race
thanks for the info Bob
Andy, it was your thread that brought me back to the forum. I believe Cyril (granddad) was involved with the 4/4 club team during the 50's but so far I've not found much in his notes.

Re: 1951 Silverstone relay race
Simon, that would all seem to fit, I only had a guess at the year from the other photos they were with. i do have some notes that tell me KKC888 is chassis 1894.

Re: +4 Supersport
well granddad always said it was the best Morgan he ever drove. Getting out of the ARP4 into the SS it felt so easy to drive!
I guess the modifications that would be needed to start racing would be prohibitive, and change the car too much but hopefully I'll be able to do the odd sprint and trial
