Welcome to Older Morgans

Welcome to this space for ‘Older Morgans’ which we hope you will find interesting. In this forum there’s no specific definition what constitutes an ‘Older Morgan’ save to say that there are a great many Morgans from the 1930s through to the 1980s and even the 1990s, that are not always represented o...

Re: 1966 Le Mans Morgan +4

For those without the time to wade through his article, the salient part Andy is referring to is: Hello John, It was deliberate, to prompt you to get your Sherlock Holmes magnifying glass out, and to build the expectation ! It is a fascinating read and it was written in 1974 not that many years on ...

Re: 1951 Silverstone relay race

You're correct Ian, Cyril Charlesworth was very involved in the early days with competition and the 4/4 Club - I presume you know that one of the main MSCC Club Awards is name...

Hello John, We've exchanged information on this 'phantom' 1966 Le Mans entry but having discounted it, I came across this over the weekend in the MotorSport archive - you'll need to read it carefully to spot what we're looking for ! Re: 1951 Silverstone relay race

Good find Ian, and details Bob, Well I'm certainly interested as the 6-hour Relay is pretty much 'in my blood'. Perhaps you've seen my Birkett 6-hour Archive thread (which I see is long overdue and update). Your +4 SS gets a mention as does its former keeper ! http://www.brakehorsepower.net/phpBB3/v...

Re: +4 Supersport

Hello Ian, That's a shame, I didn't know Peter well (2 meetings in 25 years !) but he recognised me, and I him at Curborough.
