Re: Racetorations Fast Road TR4 engine internals for sale

Hallo Mark, It was good to see you and your restored car during the celebration of 10 years MHR. I think you have noted that there was a tent specially for selling "print work" and parts. Tim Marsh came with around 100kg parts. He left with around 20kg. So, it worked very well. Next year w...

Re: Chris Lawrence

Dear Morgan friends, Sorry, I forgot the year, but once Chris raced at Goodwood Revival with his Twinny. A racing car with two Mini engines. One in the front, one on the rear. But I never forget the many times we, my wife Ingrid and I stayed with Chris and carry. Always a pleasure. Once we went ther...

Re: Morgan +4 Parts

Hallo Robin, Maybe it's an idea to bring the parts you have for sale to the celebration day of the 10th Anniversary of the Morgan Historic Register. If you like this idea, please, sent me an email machielkalf@ziggo.nl and I send you an entry form for the day. We have a gazebo for this type of activi...

Re: Morgan Books - Post your suggestions here

Yes, Marc, you are 100% right. That book is a "must have". For those who go to the celebration of 10 years MHR (18 July, location Morgan Motor Company) and are interested in "printwork" in general, like books, sales brochures, instruction books etc. we have a stand for all of thi...

Re: Leatherne Bottle Jan 2025

Hallo Alan,

If you like we can give your OCO 738 some attention in the MHR-newscolumn. (March issue Miscellany.) A photo and a brief history maybe?

Best wishes, Machiel Kalf.

Re: Plus 4 competition parts for sale

Hallo Mark,

If not all the parts are sold, maybe you can offer them at the Spare Fair during the celebration of 10 years MHR. (18th of July 2025, location: Morgan Motor Company) We have a Morgan Book Fair as well.

I hope to see you and one of your older Morgans,as well!

Merry X-Mas, Machiel Kalf.

Re: original LawrenceTunes

Ha, ha, Mark, I know the history very well. The first Plus 4 with a LT-engine, new from the MMC was officially produced in 1961.

But I think that you even belief that there are DHC and four seater Super Sports as well. Those cars are Plus 4 with an LT-engine.

Have a very pleasant weekend, Machiel.

Re: original LawrenceTunes

Hallo Marc,

Later I realise myself that it is what you wrote: it was a Stand of Westerham. The MMC had nothing to do with it. Maybe CJL called it a "Super Sports".

Please, read the text of the MMC adverts.

All the very best, Machiel.

Re: original LawrenceTunes

Hi Mark, You are absolute right. But that is the text made by a journalist. A journalist who based that on his own thoughts: Ah, it's a Plus 4 with a tuned engine: That must be a Super Sports! From that moment on it all went wrong with that. Did you see the text in the original MMC adverts? Thanks f...

Re: original LawrenceTunes

Hallo Richard, Of course, I know, it's a long going discussion: what's a real Super Sports? Please, read the pages 42 and 43 of the June issue of Miscellany of this year. Jake Alderson is a well respected historian. Jake Alderson explains exactly where the term Super Sports comes from and where it s...

Re: From the Archives...

Well done Andy! There are so many original MSCC-artifacts with the MSCC members.

If all donate the artifacts back to the MSCC-archive, it finally will look how it must be.

Machiel.
