Re: 405 FXO
It was such a thrill to see that race on Utube. It was disappointing when Charles dropped back, but a bit of a relief too because I kept thinking "if that pace keeps up something bad's going to happen". It didn't of course and he finished a credible eighth. What a race. Easily found on Goo...

Re: +4 Super Sport, high line body
Hi All: The discussion about SS scoop attachment re-ignited a query that has mildly interested me for years (I know, I don't get out much)? What was the reason for the reversed-wire on the rear of some SS bonnets? I have read about it but only seen one, many years ago, and now can't remember whether...

Hi All: I have been devouring The LawrenceTune Years and am now on my second read. What a monumental work and thanks to all who were involved. I am interested to know what original Lawrence tuned cars are still being raced and by whom. Who do I look for in the various videos and the Morgan Challenge...

I finally received my long-awaited copy of The LawrenceTune Years and now All will be revealed. What a monumental project. I am having to put it down occasionally to make it last.

Hi Mark:
Thanks for the information. It certainly was a successful endeavour but presumably going to the TR engines put him in another class. I did stumble on one other instance but can't just now remember the details. Odd that there weren't more.
Thanks, Larry

coventry climax query
Hi All:
I am curious to know if anyone ever used a Coventry Climax engine for either race or road in the '60s-'70s era Morgans and in particular if the factory ever considered its use. Would it have been a viable engine, or were there technical or capacity issues?
Thanks, Larry.

Re: +4 wanted
Hi Kevin: Another consideration is what you want to do with it. If you want to go trouble-free touring it might be a stretch but if you are preservation-minded it sounds lovely. An unmolested "61 with only 50 k, (white dials and all?) sounds like a find. With that kind of mileage and apparent c...

Re: Marks KUY 475
Hi Mark: Nice to see a four-seater getting it's due. OWP appears very similar to my "63, which is also maintained in original condition thanks to 40-plus years ownership. I looked up the auction photos and was interested to see the similarity despite eight years' differece. Does the bonnet scoo...

Re: VCR has to go!
Hi Mary:That would be lovely. my email is larry@pippa.ca I look forward to reading the full piece and anything else you can send along. There can't be many more significant Morgans still in existence than VCR. Too bad the original engine has gone missing, but I'll bet it's out there somewhere, it's ...

Hi:
Would it be possible to post more of the magazine article or is it there and I can't find it.
Good luck with the sale.

How many original Super Sports are still being raced and by whom? Are any contemporary photos or videos available?
