Thanks for the 'heads up' Kevin. And Happy New Year!
The price now in dollars is what I am led to believe was the price paid in pounds sterling when sold post auction by Silverstone Auctions...
Cheers,
Mark

Re: Plus 4 competition parts for sale
Hi Mike,
Sorry, it went yesterday - as did the exhaust manifold.
But do have the harness bar from the 1959 Plus 4 if of any interest...
Cheers,
Mark

Yes I am good for both those dates Leigh - but I think the 18th may suit more of us...?
I will drum up some support from the locals!

On stand number 111 at the October 1961 Earls Court Motor Show the Morgan Motor Company advertised the "Morgan Plus Four fitted with the Super Sports Engine..." The engines for the Super Sports specification Plus Fours were sent to Chris Lawrence's Westerham Motors in Acton where they were...

On Saturday December 31st 1960 at The Racing Car Show at the Royal Horticultural Old Halls in London Chris Lawrence had a stand for Westerham Motors Ltd. Amongst other engines he displayed a TR3 engine "as supplied to the Morgan Motor Company for the Super Sports Plus Four." Just saying......

Hi Robin,
Keep me in the loop with your spares - I haven't forgotten about those engine blocks but had lost storage space.
However I am now in the process of moving in to new shortly so will be back in touch...

Hi Eddie, All good thank you and trust the same goes for you too...?! Your brother's drophead was lovely and beautifully restored. I don't know whether the published price is the hammer price or whether commission has to be added to it? Either way it was a wonderful buy for someone - sadly not me as...

Re: +4 Super Sport, high line body
Hi Eddie, Simon King is the best qualified to answer this as he has an original high line racing Super Sports. You are absolutely right in that the bonnet scoop in a high line Super Sports is completely different to a low line Super Sports. It was rivetted along the top edge where it meets the bonne...

Re: 'Lawrence " plus 8 1969
It was seemingly bid to £40,000 Peter.
But you would have to add 15% commission to that so £46,000.
Cheers,
Mark

Hi Andy, Hope you are well and look forward to seeing you again soon. Dion was racing in The Gentleman Drivers Pre 66 Race which was one of the support races to the Six Hours. It looks like he had a fantastic close race against Simon Orebi Gann in his Plus 4 and the results show that Simon was 20th ...

Plus 4 competition parts for sale
Garage clear out of Plus 4 competition parts that are surplus to requirements after recommissioning my Plus 4 race car and due to losing garage space at the end of October. I haven't put any prices on them as the replacement costs are so ridiculously high (how about £5200.00 incl. VAT for a new stee...

Re: TOK 258 Wins Spa 6-Hours 2024
Yes it was indeed very exciting with TOK posting purple ie. fastest laps towards the finish. Also racing in the 6 Hours was fellow historic Morgan racing driver Simon King. He wasn't in his Plus 4 Super Sports this time but sharing a Ford Galaxie 500XL with Richard Owen and David Cooke. They finishe...

Sadly not this year Leigh - horses have got in the way!
But Jonny will be there on Friday too.
Good to see Charles has got an entry with 'Old TOK'.
Cheers,
Mark
