Silvertone

Hi Jim, Mixed fortunes! In the Classic Meeting the rotor arm failed in practice on the Friday but fortuneately I had done enough laps to qualify for the first race on Saturday (thank you so much Brett - from Brands Hatch Morgans - for coming to my rescue with a replacement.) Race 2 on Sunday was cut...

Hi John and Andy, I am also going to compete in the MG Car Club Morgan race at Silverstone on Sunday24th June, so see you there! I competed with the HSCC there last Saturday - practice was wet although the race at the end of the day was dry but the International circuit is super whatever the weather...

Very well done to James. It was a pleasure - and an education being passed so rapidly by you!

Donington

Hi Everyone, Been away on business to France and just returned so only just picked up on feedback after Donington - what a superb track! My first race there of course but absolutely great! I've got a lot of learning to do! But its another signature on my license and that's a step in the right direct...

Missing Mogs

Hi John, There seems to be a natural reluctance from people to discuss their Mogs, so inspired by the story of the ex: Le Mans Series 1 Reg.no BNP 370 / FXD 280 in this months Miscellany I thought I might be able to get them to talk about other peoples in a "Where are they now?" To get the...

Tyres

Hi Simon, I'm really pleased to hear I won't be the only new boy on the grid of the HRS Series this year! I am not really qualified to discuss tyre choice being such a novice but those who are far more experienced than I in the Morgan Racing world advised me to fit Avon CR6 ZZ tyres and I have to sa...

Lost Plus 8

Hi Philip, Sorry for not replying earlier but have literally just got back from skiing - nearly snowed in! I have looked again for this 1978 Plus 8 but it seems to have disappeared. It might be worth requesting info on the Gomog website if you are interested. If I come up with anything in the meanti...

The BIG Calender!

John,

This is a superb effort on your behalf and a really useful resource for us all - now we know what you do with your time on a Friday!

The only date I can see missing is the HSCC "Finals" event to be held at Silverstone on Saturday 20th October!

Cheers

Mark

Revised Dates

Thank you Mark for flagging this up. It makes the first meeting of the new HSCC season at Donington a bit close to the second race at Cadwell which is only a week later but it can't be helped. At least you have now got less of an excuse for not competing in the TT now that we do not have a race at C...
