Curborough '83

Hi Tony, Yes I was there supporting my old mate, Brian Povey. His lovely, specially wide bodied by the factory +8 and supplied on wide Revolution rims for sprinting and hillclimbing (ex:works) would have been having its first outing. (That car was sadly sold abroad some years ago.) I wasn't competin...

HSCC Mogs

Mark, I think this is a great idea of yours and you are to be congratulated in getting the powers that be at the HSCC to agree to your idea. It also says a lot about Morgans and the high regard they are held in (in some discerning circles at least!) I for one will certainly sign up to compete for th...

BDC Silverstone 2008

Another good lunch at Bentley Drivers Club Headquarters near Wroxton, Banbury! It was Competitors Day and an opportunity to hear what's happening from the competition side of the BDC. The most important date for us Morganeers is that the Silverstone Meeting next year looks like being the same first ...

2 drivers

Hi Philip, Thanks for drawing my attention to this series. I like the format, like you, of a 40 minute race that two drivers can share between them - but I also see the point that Jim is making (diplomatically!) about the regs. and the cars that enter. I have to say that Jims' series suits our older...

Equipe GTS

Hi Jim, Me again! I have just been looking at your website and saw that in 2006 you were running some of the races as 'Pit Stop' races. This meant that there was a compulsory pit stop and two drivers could share the car. This would add an extra 'frisson' to the race and would certainly be of interes...

It's a pleasure Jim and looking forward to next season already!

Let us all know when you have your race dates confirmed and we will start blocking off the calender/diary!

Cheers,

Mark

GTS Equipe and Mogs

Hi Jim, This is very helpful to us all - thank you. Am I right in saying that us Morgan drivers have to run with full width windscreens too? I know that traditionally Morgans have mostly been raced sans windscreens and with aeros. Indeed most Mogs racing with the HSCC race in this configuration (and...

GTS Equipe

Hi Jim, I just thought I would reply to you so you know we Morgan types are interested in your posting! So much so in fact that Richard Plant and myself are definitely interested in racing with you next season at some of your meetings. I know Mark Hoble has raced with you before but I do not know hi...

Jon, This is the most superb link to hundreds of pictures taken at Spa. I have spent nearly all day looking at them! Fantastic! (Fortuneately I am on good terms with the boss!). There are some great pix of us Morgan boys - especially my mate Richard Plant who generously allowed me to share his race ...

It's a botty clincher going up - so what it must be like going down on a longboard beggars belief!!!

Andy, you better count me in!

Equipe GTS

Hi Andy, I was very fortunate to get an entry to the Silverstone Classic Meeting in my Plus 4 Supersports rep.with the HSCC at the end of July and had the pleasure of meeting Jim Lowry who organises the Equipe GTS series. He is a keen supporter of Morgans and would welcome Plus 4 owners with a suita...

Hi Jon,

The Pre War Sports Car Race is listed as the Legends Race. Practice is first thing Monday morning and the race is 12.20. It is a 60 minute race.

If anyone want a ticket for Monday - see me as I will be at Colerne on Monday with the Sprint boys!

Cheers
